i’m darren, the creator of the plant five method.
this began as my pursuit of a simpler, high-raw life — one rooted in food, flow, and freedom. i wanted something sustainable. something that didn’t demand perfection, labels, or loyalty to a trend.
after decades of navigating the noise — the conflicting advice, the extremes, the endless rules — i started unlearning what didn’t serve me. i began building rhythms that felt real, sustainable, and alive. rhythms that could breathe.
the plant five method was born from that process. it’s my lens and my offering — a framework built on five anchors: eat. flow. bloom. move. grow. each pillar supports the others, shaping a lifestyle that nourishes more than your plate.
i’m not here to hand you a blueprint. i’m here to give you clarity —
to show you what’s possible when you reclaim your own rhythm and make decisions rooted in trust, not pressure.
raw, but never rigid.
anyone can tell you to eat more fruit — we want to see you eat. flow. bloom. move. grow.

![Because I know people like to see the food…I get it. I’ve been stripping it back and staying true to our Anatomy of eat. lately, and it feels really good to live a rhythm that gives so much back. Especially since it’s attainable anywhere. Costa Rica amplifies, but doesn’t define our flow.
Here’s a play-by-play:
[Frame 2]: we hit the farmers market every week and mix in pantry staples with things we are able to grow at home
[Frames 3-4]: days start with breaking a variant fast cycle with structured water to soothe and ready the body for digestion
*zero caffeine. none needed…
[Frames 5-9]: fruit-led mornings are a non-negotiable. mono meals rule the show.
*peeping the organic nature of the produce?
*homegrown bananas ready to ripen?
[Frame 10]: these fruit-forward mornings make workouts and recovery more enjoyable
[Frame 11]: we’ve really enjoyed pickling and fermenting our own krauts lately
[Frame 12]: cooking for the hubby’s lunch is really fun for me throughout the week but maintaining a fully raw dominance works best for me until dinner
[Frames 13-14]: fruit recovery meals keep energy stable for family time and other activities
[Frames 15-20]: we eat out at times but at-home dinners aren’t always as complicated as my new favorite ‘layered curry’
*keeping it real with just plain rice or oil free potatoes with homemade sauce or good ol rice n’ beans peaks glycogen stores to fuel the day ahead of me
[Frames 21-22]: it’s about having a simple approach (not all done up for the gram or tt) that feels abundant and vibrant while making room for the rest of what life has to offer
*there can be joy and flavor without an exhaustive or restrictive regimen
